give me some advice.

hi everyone i am new to this forum,so please give some tips on my car. My dad bought me a lancer GLXI ver 4,the car is normal. I am interested to make it go faster,my friend say try to swap the engine but my dad will be piss if i swap it. So my dad say its okey to mod as long the engine isn't swap into different engine hehe. So any advice? I like to listen to the engine rev and exhaust note. I am not into bodykit or sound system hehe.

can u post the pic of ur engine? is ur car already have turbo o not?

no lah bro its just a stock engine CK4A 1.6 c.c sohc 16 valve version 4 what it say on the manual book and blue card. I'll post it soon. my dad say if i am are pro in maintenance turbo,and got a lot of money then its a green light hehe but i'll just stay N/A hehe.

may b can change the exhaust 1st full set from manifold to the tip.cause exhaust also increase the housepower, den mayb u can change ur sport air filter, spark plug also change 2 the better 1 also and alot of cable change..u can visit dis shop for better advise..hayashi o sing hiang hin

thanks mitsu i been to hayashi looking for aftermarket parts,while i was at hayashi,there was this guy maybe the worker who said its better to change turbo engine,but i want to use the stock engine,then he just walk away .hehe maybe he was busy or something. I also did my homework[reading my dads car magazine] if i am going to change the engine to turbo,i might as well change the stock brake to big brake which stand the turbo engine,changing the fuel system or fuel pump which turbo is a heavy drinker,and a lot.

Anyway i will do a survey for the exhaust,air filter,plug and spark cable.btw mitsu what is your ride? And where is the dude who found this forum?

my ride just a normal lancer...mayb sumday we will meet..btw..y dont u go to sing hiang hin..maybe dey can intorduce to u stuff can can improve ur housepower..who know sumday u hp will b v6 engine o vtec...stock engine dat can do more we can expect.hehehe...np admin..

if i were you, i'll be looking for another option, search for the 'beat up' car for a 'project' car, with all due respect, i'm not very much a mitsubishi fan, the best i believe for modifying a mitsubishi car is from the evo III model, swapping engine for them is much common, you even can play with the gearbox making it a AWD or a 2 wheel drive, but then again, this all will involve a lot of $$$$, by the way, 'playing' with cars is not cheap
